If you have not heard about android 10 Q, then it’s high time you checked whether your ears are still functional.

Smarter. Faster. Sweeter.

These are well deserved adjectives for describing Google’s all powerful latest update. If you have been dreaming of having an artificial intelligence powered robot in your pocket, your dream just came true.

Android Q is an open wonder that is currently shaking the halls of the entire realm of the tech industry. I bet you also noticed how the name is markedly different from the others and stands right out of the pack.

There’s a swift move away from naming the updates after one delicious edible or another. Right now, the name is more mature. And people love it.

Android 10 is the perfect culmination of Google’s manpower and brainpower in the areas of advanced design, programming and artificial intelligence. Here are all the beautiful features that it came with.

Fantastic Features of Android Q and Why They Are Awesome.

In case you don’t know, Android 10 is the tenth version of the Android OS. The amazing features outlined below are the ones it was released with on September 3rd, 2019.

1. The Swift Hero Gets a Rebranding

Since 2014, each android update had the same monotonous design. But things just brighten up for the better.

The current version of the brand’s looks and feels comprises of a greenish robot text and the normal android logo text.

2. The Disappearance of the Back Button for Good android 10 Q features

The back button almost became a predictable feature of every single android update if not for this version.

It feels good to say goodbye to it because it belongs to the archaic tech age.

This android update can only be operated through a series of swipes. It now uses an advanced navigation system that uses your gestures to function.

If you wish to visit the home page of your mobile phone, just swipe up. To see your multitasking menu, swipe up and hold. And if you wish to go back in the left or right direction, all you have to do is to swipe left or right.

Once you get a phone with this latest android update, just know that you’re in for a serious swiping which is fun.

3. More Matured Colours — Enjoy the System Wide Dark Mode

I bet there are users like me who can’t really enjoy an app that doesn’t have dark mode.

And I know that I am not in the minority since most of the social media apps like Reddit, YouTube and Twitter rolled out updates that included the dark mode.

It is with tremendous joy that the tech world welcomed this update of the android OS which allows you to have your entire phone completely in the dark mode.

4. Throw Out the Subtitles — Android’s All New Live Caption Has Got Your Back.

Let’s face it.

Consuming the media in the form of movies, podcast or music made in a slightly different accent than the one that you’re familiar with can become a hard work.

And that’s why subtitles play a very role in helping us to enjoy multimedia on our mobile phones.

Well, not anymore.

With the roll out of Android Q, you can now delete all your subtitle files.
This is because it has a fantastic feature called Live Caption which helps you to transcribe every single audio that could be played in the mobile phone.

The transcription us in real time and it requires zero internet data. How cool is that?

To start enjoying it, just go to the “Accessibility settings” and turn it on.

5. Your Privacy Just Became More Private

In this age of underground personal data harvesting and hawking, Android Q is definitely a godsend.

With this update, Google has raised the bar and made the rules more tighter for black hat developers to have less access to our personal data without asking for permission first.

The changes that were made in app permissions will also help you to understand and control more what each of your apps have access to.

Now, you can use your phone with peace of mind.

Will My Phone Get Android 10?

Google’s greatest and the latest is a ton of excitement for everyone – developers and users alike.
And at the moment, most android phone users are eager to update their mobile OS to what’s on the air right now.

If you are eager to know whether your android phone can get Android 10, your questions will be laid to rest here.

In all android updates, there’s a huge difference between when Google launches the final build and when the new software actually arrives on your smartphone.

And in this section of the blog post, I will analyze the major OEM as well as reveal the time when it could be possible for you to install the update on your device.

Let’s dive in;

1. Google Pixel

Of course, it is expected that Google’s custom made phones will be the first to receive the rollout of their newly released mobile OS.
As of the time of writing this guide (September 3, 2019), all Pixel devices have already tasted the goodies of the android Q.

2. Samsung

Without a speck of doubt, Samsung is definitely not a company to be ignored while talking about the shakers and movers of the smartphone industry.

Although, their plans to update their mobile phones have not been publicly announced, they will surely roll out the updates sooner than later. You can expect Android 10 update announcements for devices like the S10, S10+ and the spectacular  Galaxy Note 10, 10+.

This is because there has been rumors around the corners of their plans to release their new smartphone model named Galaxy S11 which we won’t see until early 2020.

3. Nokia

Although Nokia has lost the popularity that they use to enjoy during the early days of the phone boom, it still retains its culture of diligence.

Right now, the Nokia brand has been noted for its amazing software that get regular updates when due. This explains why they are the first smartphone company to share their plans of updating to Android 10 mobile OS.

Asides these three device manufacturers listed here, if your phone is a flagship device probably among the best Android phones listed in our previous post, you should be getting it.

Xiaomi should also be working on ways to get the new Android on its latest devices like the Redmi K20 pro and its other flagships.

Conclusion

Our breaths had been held right from May 2019 when Google announced its release till now. And we are more than the thrilled that the suspense is worth it.

Welcome to 2019, the world is your pocket.
